Is YouTube Too Saturated? The Honest Truth...
Here's the answer to one of the most prominent YouTube questions...
If there is one question I get asked more than any other it’s this:
“Is YouTube too saturated?”
Most often, this question is posed by one of two types of people:
1. People who are new to online business and are uneducated about YouTube’s potential
2. People who have started channels and are experiencing limited success
For those who fall into camp #1 I totally get the skepticism
YouTube has been around for nearing two decades now
And this would logically prompt the question as to whether or not it is a platform worth growing on (hint: it absolutely is!)
Then there are those that begin to believe that YouTube is too saturated
Because they keep releasing videos only to experience limited success
So they chalk it up to the fact that YouTube is “too saturated”
And go take their online business efforts over to a new platform
Likely to realize that their luck is no better outside of YouTube
As it’s not an issue with the bow but instead the archer…
When I say that most people’s issue is one of the archer and not the bow
What I mean is that YouTube as a platform is more than viable
It’s the creator who is lacking the know-how to make the platform work for them
Now, it’s one thing for me to tell you that YouTube is more than viable in mid 2024
But it’s another to show you that it is so let’s go over an example of a cashflowing channel that started this year
That is arguably positioned in one of the more competitive niches on YouTube
Below we have the channel Bottom Of The Inning
As you can see, it’s first video was released just 4 months ago
Entering one of the most competitive sports niches - baseball
In the last 30 days, the channel has generated just under 1.5 million views
Which equates to roughly $7,500 in ad revenue for the channel
But how did this channel scale up to a full-time income on YouTube if the platform is “saturated”
By having a strategy behind their uploading efforts…
For example, one of this channel’s best performing videos was derived from using an ideation strategy called “Topic Transferrence”
This is a strategy I teach in-depth inside Tube Academy
Effectively, what you’re doing is pulling over a proven topic into a new niche
This greatly increases your video’s chances of success
Meaning that you’re getting much more output for the inputs that you deploy
What’s crazy is that this channel is just one example of new income streams being created on YouTube in a short amount of time
But what is the relation between them all?
Channel strategy…I.e. knowing what videos to make in which format
So that you’re not just adding more supply to saturated pockets of YouTube
But are instead differentiating yourself in order to stand out
Which leads to more views, more subscribers and most importantly more money…
Until tomorrow,
