Is YouTube oversaturated in 2024? The honest truth
This may surprise you...
One of the most common questions I get asked just about every single day is: Is YouTube oversaturated in 2024?
First off, this is a totally valid question. Who in their right mind would want to start an online business where the competition was so aggressive that they had next to no chance of being successful?
Probably no one.
Like I said, this is a totally valid concern, which is why I get asked this question all the time. However, here's what people fail to realize:
Literally nothing in life is too saturated if you have the will and the skill to compete.
For example, do you think that Formula 1 drivers looked around before starting their careers and thought, Wow, there are literally billions of people who know how to drive. I guess I should give up before I get started?
Obviously not.
Well, the same thing goes for YouTube. Sure, there are millions of channels on the platform, and many of them are competing at quite a high level. But here’s what you need to realize:
The majority of them are lacking one of the following two elements.
The first is skill.
Many channel owners simply have no idea how to properly ideate their videos, package their videos, or create content that people would even want to watch.
To be totally transparent, just the fact that you’re reading these emails every day puts you ahead of these individuals already.
So you technically have the skills right now to be able to compete on the platform today.
The other element that many people lack is will.
They start their channel excited to build an online stream of income and work at it for a few days, weeks, or even months. Then, after the initial excitement dies down, they think, Wow, these results are not coming fast enough. This is never going to work. And then they quit.
What I’ve come to realize in my own social media endeavors is that there is no competition because most people never take the time to cultivate enough skill to be successful or don’t have the will to keep going when times are tough.
For example, I’m not the only one that educates others about YouTube.
Every single day, I see new people on Twitter and Instagram trying to educate others about the platform.
While I could see this as a threat, I know that just about all of them will have given up within the next 6 to 12 months, meaning that they were never real competition in the first place.
Therefore, if you know that you want to build an income stream online and you’re one of the few that’s willing to commit to the process until it becomes successful, then there really is no such thing as oversaturation for you.
This mental shift has been one of the greatest breakthroughs that I’ve had in the last couple of years, and to be able to share it with you today is something that I hope serves you well.
Until tomorrow,
Adam
