Why Your YouTube Channel Isn't Growing

You're missing a crucial piece of the puzzle...

Timing is an important aspect of life

For example, meet the love of your life too early and you may not be mature enough to handle the trials and tribulations of a relationship

Meet them too late and you may not have the chance to blossom a beautiful family

Well, on YouTube timing also matters

For example, I get a ton of student questions around monetization

I get asked things like:

“What product should I sell on my channel?”

“What are the best affiliate platforms?”

“Is Patreon a good site for hosting exclusive content?”

I like receiving these questions because it informs me that my students are thinking

And understand that real YouTube money is not solely a by-product of ad revenue

But the solutions you present your audience in the form of offers

The issue with these questions is timing

Most are asking these questions before having amassed one important element:

Views

People want to start dropping affiliate links everywhere when they can barely generate 100 views per video

Again, their head is in the right place but without traffic any offer stands little chance of converting

This is why your first priority should be focusing on scaling up your channel views

And this comes in mastering ideation, formatting, packaging, retention etc.

Fortunately, you don’t have to build your own thesis around what works and what doesn’t

You just need to keep your eyes open as you progress

And adopt practices that have proven to work time and again

In fact, this is the recipe for success adopted by the channel Truck Tropia

They came across the popular format “Why XXX Trucks Are/Have XXX”

And when proven to work once they just rinsed and repeated

To the tune of multiple 1M+ view videos…

But you’re not running a truck-related channel so what does this mean for you?

It means you can adopt proven formats in your own niche or other niches

And ride them to significantly more video views

Just like these channels:

The “Why (Person) Is/Isn’t XXX” - a slight adaption from the Truck Tropia example shared above

You see, growing your YouTube channel is like hitting a nail into the wall

Most people are trying to jab it in there with their hand

Getting hurt in the process

While they have a hammer sitting there right beside them…

Ready to be deployed…

The lesson?

Just look around and you’ll find all the tools you need to be successful

Then all there’s left to do is use them

Happy Sunday!
