Why You're Struggling To Succeed On YouTube (And The Fix)
What most people overlook en route to YouTube success...
You release your 2nd video of the week and yet again another clunker…
You think to yourself “I wouldn’t care if I had 1-2 bad videos but none have gotten more than 100 views in the past month…”
And then it happens…
You start to slack on reviewing your video analytics
Maybe your upload schedule drops from 2 videos a week down to 1
Whether you realize it or not, you’re starting to slip into a downward YouTube spiral
I often call this phenomenon the “spiral of despair”
This is where you haven’t had a sufficient amount of recent wins to keep yourself motivated
And don’t worry, it happens to the best of us (yes - even me)
But what I notice is what separates those that overcome this sentiment
And those that don’t is their vision for their ideal future
Those that stumble and quit can only see what’s right infront of them
But those that end up winning long-term are the ones who can keep their eyes on the future prize at all times
For example, as a beginner, your first milestone goal may be to make enough from your channel in one month so that you can take out your partner to dinner
And once this happens, you gain the confidence that you can do it again
While progressing towards that next major milestone
As a seasoned creator on YouTube, I can tell you that fending off these periods of despair gets easier as you progress through your journey
For example, when I have a mediocre video I think about the fact that another literally paid for the car I drive today
Which if you ask me is pretty cool
So the next time you’re facing a negative thought or experience with YouTube
Don’t allow yourself to dwell in the moment
Shift your perspective to what you’ll enjoy when you finally figure this out
Because if someone like me, who is no smarter than you can make money on YouTube
Than so can you…
Note: Starting tomorrow, I will be accepting a few new students into Tube Academy
If you’re ready to start growing and moentizing your own channel and want the details just email me back the word “tube”
Happy Sunday!
