You may hate me for this..

Right now, I am on a warm, sunny beach in Aruba

Basking in 30+ degree weather

Ditching my ultra pale skin in real time

I know you may hate me for this but someone has to go on vacation, right?

Well, life didn’t always used to be this way…

I wasn’t the guy who was going on vacation 3+ times a year

I was the guy who was lucky to take a 2 hour getaway once a year

Why?

It’s not that I didn’t love vacationing back then

I just couldn’t afford it…

If you’ve gone on vacation lately you’ll know that it’s insanely expensive

I think my 2 weeks in Europe in September cost roughly $25k

But if you’ve gone on vacation before you’ll know that there’s nothing else like it

The nice weather, the relaxing vibe, the detachment from “real life”

It’s an experience that should almost be a right that everyone has

Because it’s just so beneficial for the soul

Sadly, most people don’t travel

It’s tough to justify a vacation when you’re barely left with enough money at the end of each month

And what’s worse is that being in that position doesn’t change unless you do

It changes with you pursuing that higher paying job

It changes with you picking up extra work

Or it changes with you building something new

Let 2025 be the year of change

There’s more than enough sun on this beach for the two of us
