You'll NEVER make money on YouTube if you ignore this one thing...
I can't believe people don't know about this
If you’ve completed college or university then this will resonate with you deeply
Remember back when you were deciding which major to pursue?
If you’re like me, you were scanning for those top paying jobs that you could get when graduating
Because you weren’t just going to college to party (although that was part of it)
You were going because:
A) your parents wanted you to
B) you wanted to make money
Like a good italian boy, I hit the nail on the head with A & B
Going to get my masters and eventually becoming a CPA
Sadly, not everyone maps their schooling to the income they desire
Leading them to making minimal wages and not living the life they truly desire
Well, this same phenomenon takes place on YouTube ALL THE TIME
People will start channels without any rhyme or reason
And then quit months later when they FINALLY realize that their channel has no path to the income or growth they desire…
So today, I am going to save you months (or years) of heart ache (and probably a lot of money too)
By sharing how you can validate a channel idea before you waste your precious resources pursuing it…
It all comes down to validating channel monetization and income
Before selecting any channel to pursue, you want to ensure your role model channels in that niche are monetized
You can do this most easily by downloading the NexLev Chrome extension and then heading to the channel pages of those channels you want to emulate
You’ll see a green symbol when the channel is monetized and a red symbol when it’s not (see below)
But what about validating a channel’s income?
This is crucially important to as you want to ensure that the niche you’re entering has the potential to make the money that you want to earn
For example, here’s one of my students channels
With the NexLev extension (this is a paid feature) you can see their estimated earnings:
If the channel is monetized and making the money you want then you’re good to go!
If not, that’s okay, just go back to the drawing board and find other niche ideas
Note: there are plenty of them out there!
I hope this little walkthrough helps you kickoff your own YouTube journey on a positive note
Until tomorrow,
Adam
P.S. I am opening up 3 new spots inside Tube Academy on Monday. If you want the details and to be added to the waitlist, reply back “Tube” and I’ll send you the details.
