The WORST Part About Making Money on YouTube
This sucks...
You start your YouTube journey and think to yourself
“I can’t wait until I’m cashing $5,000 YouTube checks!”
And then it hits you…
Not all of that money will be going towards the most exciting items
No, it won’t always be money for vacations, a new car or golf clubs…
Sometimes, life hits us with a curveball and that money ends up getting spent on “adult” stuff
Well, my most recent “adult” stuff purchase was a BBQ
This is a picture of me pretending to be enjoying my BBQ while I cry inside that I had to spend over $1,000 on this stupid thing…
And yes, the burgers turned out great thanks for asking
As I always say, making money on YouTube isn’t just about living the high life
It’s also about having the extra money for when life throws you a curveball (which it always does)
So that you don’t have to bat the eye at an unexpected expense and just keep on living life
If I am being totally transparent, if I had to cover this purchase back when I was strictly on a salary I may have broken down and cried
To have to work countless weeks just to make enough disposable income to purchase a BBQ is kind of insane
Not only that but it detracts from what you really want to be spending that money on
Things like trips, retirement etc.
Therefore, like I say time and again, think of your YouTube journey (and your channel income) like a sliding scale
First, your channel makes you enough for a Starbucks coffee
Then, it makes you enough for a night out with your partner
Then, it covers groceries for the month
Then your mortgage payment and so on
When you gamify YouTube, winning becomes that much easier
If you didn’t close this email after see me wearing Palm Tree shorts I applaud you and wish you a fantastic rest of your Sunday!
Best,
Adam

PS. As of tomorrow, I will be dropping the “Tube Insiders” title from this daily newsletter. From here forward, my goal is to share my personal thoughts and experiences around YouTube and making money online so tomorrow’s email will come from “Adam Del Duca”. Thanks :)
