Why YouTube is a cheat code for making money online

I absolutely love social media

Being able to read misinformation all day

Wasting endless hours of your precious life

And getting to look at your friends going on vacation while you’re stuck at home

Jokes aside, when used right, social media can be a powerful tool

But some forms of social media are much more powerful than others

For example, if you’re reading this right now you may have come across me on X/Twitter

Twitter is great but the downside is that if I want people to read my content

I have to post every single day…

Why?

Because the lifespan of a tweet is 24-48 hours

Sure, I can schedule in my content

But it still requires a ton of tweets and threads to be made weekly

Now YouTube on the other hand is different…

On YouTube, you can post once and reap the rewards into perpetuity

For example the second year this particular video was public it earned $29,440.76

Yes, you read that right

The 2nd year

This means I uploaded it and went about my life

Didn’t touch the video at all and it kept sending me YT checks monthly…

Instances like these are why I am so bullish on YouTube for the busy 9-5er

Most platforms require you to public content daily to keep up

And while doing so can be lucrative

It’s not the most ideal setup for those working long hours

Managing their family and trying to watch a couple Netflix shows from time to time

Therefore, if you ask me, YouTube is the ultimate cheat code to making money online

Because one good piece of content can reward you for years

And with the right methods in place, generating videos that will pay you into the future is not as hard as you’d think…
