What no one wants to tell you about YouTube
Here's the truth
We’ve now officially left holiday season
Yes, this means that your Christmas tree should NOT still be up
While we’ve left behind the gift opening and pounds of turkey
One thing that’s remained are the seasonal songs
Yes, I do like to dabble in lofi music from time to time
Especially lofi music whose theme mirrors the time of the year
This is the track I’ve been listening to for the last few weeks
Now, when you start listening to lofi on YouTube, you begin to get flooded with recommendations of similar videos
One video that was recommended to me was the following:
At first, the weird frog catches your attention but then the statement takes over
“be patient, good things take time”
It’s a powerful statement, right?
But it’s also true
I can tell you that the most cherished things I have today did take time to obtain
From getting my CPA designation, to building YT channels and even dating and marrying my wife
Sadly, most people want things yesterday…
And it’s this lack of patience that stops them from ever getting where they want to be in life
They work at something for a week or a month
Don’t see instant results and quit
Claiming that the next business model is “better for them”
The reality?
All business models work, you just don’t work
You don’t work hard enough to make them work
Or don’t spend enough time figuring them out
This was me many years ago
I was a notoriously bad business model hopper
And guess what? I never made any money in the process
Then, I committed to YouTube and well
The rest is history…
Therefore, while you’re uploading videos, perfecting your packaging etc.
Also work on that patience muscle
It’s the most powerful tool in the toolkit that you need to be using daily
Especially if you have high aspirations on YouTube
Until tomorrow,
Adam
