This YouTube update will make you poor

If you’re inside Tube Academy (which you should be) then you’ll know that I teach in a very direct manner

Why?

Because I know that my students mistakes cost them their precious time and money

And these are two resources that we must protect at all costs

So when YouTube news breaks, I have to be there to interject and protect them against the common misconceptions that float around social media

Case and point the news about YouTube Shorts being expanded to 3 minutes in length

As soon as this news broke, people wanted to jump on the Shorts train

When I saw this, I knew we had a potential problem on our hands

Because who can resist the new shiny object, right?

Well, you should be, and that’s what I advised my students inside Tube Academy to do

Why?

Because focusing on content that pays a fraction of what long-form does is a surefire way to waste your precious time and money (our most valuable resources)

Sadly, this new Shorts update is just one of the many red herrings that so many new channel owners fall for

They also fall for selecting the wrong niche for their channels, getting duped when hiring freelancers and the list goes on…

This is why it helps to not only be told what to do but also what not to do…

Because it’s sidestepping the things you must avoid that will streamline your path to YouTube money

Which I assume is the goal you’re striving to achieve…
