The restaurant effect

Here it is...

It’s Thursday night and you haven’t been out on a date night in a while

You think to yourself “I want to make Saturday night special”

So you decide to take your partner out in the upcoming days

Now, as someone who doesn’t go out a lot you need a bit of help

You have two choices:

A) Google restaurants in your city

B) Ask a friend which restaurants they recommend

Most sane individuals would opt for option B

Why?

Because it’s much more valuable to hear about someone’s experience first hand

I mean, think about it like this

Would you rather take advice from someone who’s only heard about a restaurant

Or from someone who’s actually eaten there before?

Of course the latter…

Well, on YouTube, understanding the experiential angle can be powerful

Because it’s one thing to talk about something in theory

But it’s another to share your personal experience doing it

This is why the channel Viyaura has blown up

They create videos around high-interest topics from an experiential standpoint

It’s not “theory” fluff like most other channels

It’s literally them recounting their experience, the ups and downs and the end result

Which, for the viewer, makes watching that much more worthwhile

How does this apply to you?

Invest more time into your videos by living what you’re preaching

Instead of summarizing a book, share that “I read X book and here’s what I learned”

Instead of talking about investing practices, share that “I bought every ETF, here’s which performed best”

Anyone can talk about something

But few will actually live it

Going this one extra step will do wonders for your video performance

Test it out and let me know how it goes

Until tomorrow,

Adam
