The 44-minute workday

I clearly remember the first time hearing about the book “The Four-Hour Work Week” by Tim Ferriss

I thought to myself, this sounds way too good to be true

I mean, how can you get by working only 4 hours a week?

And then I read the book and things became instantly clearer

When you learn to:

• Define

• Automate

• Eliminate

• Liberate

You all of a sudden end up with a ton of free time on your hands

You see, when you work a 9-5 job you are forced to invest a ton of time into it

Why?

Because there isn’t a lot of automating (you have to do all the work yourself)

Nor is their eliminating (because you boss wants to you continue to produce)

Therefore, most people go their whole lives working at least 40 hours a week

Stealing away time from the more important things in life (exercise, family, friends, travel etc.)

Unlike the 9-5 construct, running your own automated YouTube channel does align to the DEAL framework outlined in this best-selling book

And it works so well that it will have you so bored that you’ll start doing chores around the house for fun

In fact, this is what one of my Tube Academy students sent me after getting his team set up and running

“I have my next video lined up already. How else can I fill my time, there’s nothing left to do”

Not having anything to do is quite a good problem to have, wouldn’t you say?

This feeling of constant activity is one that’s hard to overcome, especially if you’re been in the world of school and work all your life

But it illuminates the fact that building out another stream of income doesn’t have to consume your life

You can build it while:

• Working a 9-5 job

• Raising a family

• Traveling etc.

How?

By managing your time investment via outsourcing

Which not only frees up your time

But also allows you to tap into the expertise you may be lacking

So that you channel grows faster and allows you to make money sooner

This is how you have a 44-minute YouTube work day

You manage the channel and go about your business

It’s not indentured time like a job where you have to be sit at a desk for 8 hours regardless of how busy you are…

Therefore, if you want to start a YouTube channel but are afraid that it will have your calendar filled with time commitments

Then I hope my students words of boredom prove to you that this won’t be the case…
