How To Stop STRUGGLING To Get Views On YouTube (FOR GOOD)
Start doing this and see what happens...
When was the last time you watched a video on YouTube?
Today? Yesterday?
Chances are you’ve consumed some amount of YouTube recently
And when you think about it, watching YouTube is kind of crazy
When you commit to watching a video, you’re basically saying
“I am happy to trade XX amount of time of my life that I am never getting back in exchange for the value this video will provide me”
Maybe it’s nerdy of me to illustrate YouTube in this way but it’s true when you really think about it
Here’s the sad part about this trade off of time
Many people are making amazing videos that would literally change the lives of those who watch them
Think of people sharing how others can lose weight, learn a new language, meet their future partner etc.
However, these invaluable tips are hidden behind packaging that has prospective viewers scrolling on by
It’s kind of like owning a Ferrari and never taking it out of your garage (what a waste!)
What’s worse is that costs the same amount to make a well packaged video as it does a poorly packaged one (so you may as well do it right!)
How do you do this?
One way is to sell the result (or transformation) in your thumbnails…
Let me illustrate this concept using a video from the channel Luka B.
Here is one of of his most popular videos to date:
Do you notice what he did here?
He clearly demonstrated the transformation that could be attained by a viewer who consumes his video (i.e. go from plain recording setup to an aesthetic one)
Now viewers will be more inclined not only to click on the video to get this desirable result but also watch all the way through to fully consume the process
This strategy is especially powerful because people can resonate with the “before” state as their content probably looks similar to this
And have seen popular creators with these aesthetics backgrounds and want to emulate them too
Going back to the beginning, understand that people’s time is scarce and valuable
They will only want to watch your videos if they feel as if it will be worth their time
It’s your thumbnails that often are the difference between getting a click, view and subscribe and not…
On Saturday (July 20th at 2pm EST), I’m hosting a workshop for my Tube Academy students where I’ll be walking through the entire process of creating highly-clickable thumbnails
You can get a guest pass to attend for only $100 and can join Tube Academy students in mastering the art of thumbnail design
Let's start generating exponential channel growth by formulating more engaging thumbnails. Sign up below:
