The Secret Benefit of Growing A Successful Channel On YouTube

The other week, I had an amazing Friday night

No, I didn’t hit the club with my boys

Or go to see my favorite artist in concert

What I did do was have an amazing dinner with my grandmother

Earlier that week, my fiancée and I decided to get together with my grandmother

And since she’s 91 and lacking some mobility

Instead of going out to eat, we brought the food to her

What was on the menu? Texas Grill Fajitas!

During our dinner conversation, the topic of what we were doing that weekend came up

My fiancée mentioned she was going to be going out to get groceries

And we all discussed things we regularly buy like blueberries, strawberries, romaine lettuce etc.

As we chatted, my grandmother mentioned that while she shouldn’t do this, she NEVER looks at the price tags

If she wants to honeycrisp apples, she’s going to get some damn honeycrisp apples

This made me think to myself, “when was the last time I looked at a price tag?”

The truth is that I really never do anymore…

Now, if it was a bigger purchase like an appliance, car or house of course I would

But for day to day items they just go into the cart and proceed through checkout

Why this realization struck me so hard was because I used to analyze every cent that left my wallet only a few years ago

When I was working in management consulting making $42,500 a year

I had to budget my money down to the cent

Not only was this a major hassle but it made spending money a gutwrenching experience 24/7

Fortunately, now with YouTube money, it’s no longer an issue

And the best part?

You don’t have to be making $10,000s a month to achieve this…

Even an extra $1-3k a month is enough to alleviate most common spending pains
