The RECIPE For Making Viral Videos on YouTube

If your goal is generating more views then this is a big piece of the pie...

How would your life changing if you could consistently generate $10,000/mo on your YouTube channel?

Would you quit your job?

Vacation more?

Buy a new car?

Well, strangely enough a couple lentil patties and cabbage rolls may have something do to with that dream coming true

Wondering what I mean?

For the last few weeks, my YouTube homepage recommendations have been full of cooking videos

(I think my fiancée used my YouTube account to find a new recipe!)

After getting bombarded by these channels, I started to notice that many of them were getting a shit ton of views…

Here’s an example:

So that made me dive a little bit deeper into the cooking craze on YouTube

And how these faceless channels were pulling in 10 million or more views a month

And guess what, I think I found the recipe to success (yes, pun intended)

Here’s another great cooking channel

Their three top videos all have over 4M views

With a recent video generating than many in less than a week (crazy!)

But how are these videos drawing in that many views?

Here’s the three components that (I believe) are doing most of the heavy lifting…

The first is previewing the end outcome

Each thumbnail shows the beautiful, delectable final product

Indicating the proof that the recipe works and what someone can enjoy when watching all the way through

The second component is show, don’t tell

Watch these videos and what you’ll see is someone taking you step-by-step through the process

They aren’t just telling you the steps without visual instructions (which would be much less useful)

Finally, there’s the low barrier effect

Each video leans on power words such as “easy”, “simple” etc.

Giving off the impression that everyone, no matter the cooking expertise, can make these recipes work

Now, if you made it this far in the email here’s the final element that adds to these high view counts…

The total addressable market for cooking content is HUGE

We all have to eat meaning people have to cook

And YouTube recipe videos are the new Betty Crocker cookbooks…

Therefore, if you’re lacking on views, aim to add in any of these components and watch what happens!

Until tomorrow,

Adam
