Why most people fail at running a profitable YouTube channel

Do you know what college and YouTube have in common?

No, it’s not the excessive drinking (I hope)

Nor is it the late night study sessions

What they have in common is money…

When you think about college (and which major to pursue), typically there are two approaches people take

The first is to just take a program because all your friends are taking it

How does this relate to YouTube?

Every single day, people are starting YouTube channels

And while I love that people are starting to grow their own audience online

They are taking the “because my friends are taking the program” approach…

What do I mean by this?

They simply pick a niche that was part of some random blog or post online and then go full steam ahead

Only to eventually realize that this may not have been the best path to take after all…

Why? Because the channel they’ve decided to build will never allow them to make the money they truly desire

It’s like trying to drive a Toyota Corolla 300 miles per hour

It’s just not going to happen

But try the same thing in a F1 car and you’re set!

Why? Because that vehicle has the potential for this level of speed

Whereas the other didn’t

The same goes for the channel you start…
