The painful truth I have to tell you about YouTube
Listen up...
Imagine for a second that you were riding your bike down the road.
All of a sudden, you hit a pothole and fly over the handlebars.
As you're getting up, your arm is in a significant amount of pain.
What do you do?
You rush yourself to the hospital.
Why?
Because you want to ease the pain as soon as possible.
While I hope for your sake that you never have a bike incident like this, it is a good learning lesson that you can apply to YouTube.
You see, if you really want to successfully grow and monetize your YouTube channel, you have to understand why people watch your content in the first place.
And one of the main reasons they would want to watch your content is because you help them resolve the pain points in their lives.
There's no better example of this than the following video.
One of the most common gripes that the average person has is that they're simply not as tall as they would want to be.
And given that this is something shorter individuals live with each and every day, you can understand why it would be such a pain point in their lives if this is something they would want to resolve.
So when they come across a video telling them that they can grow taller at any age, you know damn well know that they're going to be interested.
And the numbers support this fact as being true.
This relatively new channel has generated a massive outlier on their channel, simply due to their ability to tap into the pain points of their target audience.
So before you release another video, you should be considering: What are the pain points of the audience that you intend to serve?
Do they need help saving money?
Do they need help finding their life partner?
Or do they simply need to be entertained before they go to bed?
When you start focusing on what the needs of your audience are, naturally you will start to generate more views on your channel.
While I don't exactly know if the growth strategy shared in our example video actually works, I can tell you firsthand that tapping into the pain points of your prospective audience surely does.
Until tomorrow,
Adam
