The one ingredient you're missing for YouTube success

Here it is...

Your videos are struggling to get views?

Are your thumbnails missing the mark?

Are your titles just not that engaging?

Maybe there's no demand around the topics you're creating in the first place.

While all these may be contributing to the low performance of your channel, there is one secret ingredient that most people are missing that's hindering their YouTube growth.

What is that ingredient, you may be wondering?

You see, as a platform, YouTube is not just about consuming content—it's about connecting with like-minded individuals.

This is why people who invest tend to like those channels they follow and become the most loyal subscribers.

It's also why those who follow a particular diet gravitate towards their favorite channels that speak about this diet most predominantly.

Do you notice the common trend amongst these two examples?

It's the relatability between the channel content and the viewer.

What many channels miss out on is finding a point of relatability between their content and the viewers they want to serve.

Without this relatability factor, their packaging and overall videos will struggle to resonate with those they want to reach.

Here's a perfect example of the use of relatability in action:

As you can see from this example, this video is a 100x outlier and has generated over 1 million views.

It includes no extensive levels of video production and no masterfully written script.

All this video entails is this individual sharing his story of being 22 and having no friends, which sadly is a phenomenon that many other individuals are currently experiencing, making his problems quite relatable to a particular subset of individuals.

Therefore, as you're going through the process of ideating and packaging your videos, consider how you can make your content more relatable.

Is it by lowering the barrier to starting a particular activity, like beginning to invest or getting a job without a particular diploma or degree?

Is it achieving a particular goal without a ton of money or time on your hands?

The more you can make your videos relatable to your prospective viewer, the more likely they are to click on your videos. When you keep relatability in mind, you will naturally start to attract more people who will be eager to watch your content and will turn those viewers into subscribers and into loyal fans.

And truly, that is the ultimate goal when building a successful YouTube channel.

Until tomorrow,

Adam
