Why No One Watches Your Videos (Harsh Truth)

Let’s pretend for a second that your name is Gabe

You are a motivated individual who wants to turn their YouTube channel into a full-time income

As such, you start uploading regularly hoping to get your big break

But, after 26 videos, you’ve struggled to see any progress…

What do you do?

In this case, Gabe isn’t a made name - it’s a real channel owner

And so far Gabe hasn’t been getting as much channel attention as I am sure he’d love

Right now, he’s basically averaging 1 new subscriber per video

First off, at least Gabe is uploading (which is more action taken than the majority of people)

So hats off to you Gabe!

Trouble is that his trajectory is one that usually leads to quitting

Let me explain…

Most people quit their YouTube journey because they start feeling like the their inputs (time and money) aren’t worth the outputs they are receiving (views, growth and income)

As such they cut their losses and say goodbye to YouTube

Never allowing their channel to grant them the lucrative income stream they desire

What most creators struggling to grow don’t realize is that they are acting as their own worst enemy…

In this case, Gabe’s issue is in his ideation and packaging

Let’s break down both right now.

First, his ideation is all over the place…

One video is talking about a beverage company and the next is investment banking

As I share in the Tube Academy training, your content needs to remain in alignment with your niche

In this case, that’s not happening so someone coming for one video is unlikely to watch the next…

But beyond this is the packaging (i.e. title and thumbnail)

I don’t know about you but I have no idea what a “Winter Self Mastery Arc” is…

And most likely few others do…

This means that no one will resonate with that title and as a result not click

Could be the best video on the planet but without proper packaging the video is toast…

Therefore, if right now no one is watching your videos you’ve likely got an issue with your:

  • Ideation

  • Production

  • Packaging

And very likely a combination of all three

Before uploading your next video, consider how appealing your video ideas are

And whether they are positioned to appeal to your target audience

Do this so you stop wasting your precious time and money making videos that won’t perform

Because maximizing your resources is the name of the game when it comes to winning on YouTube

Until tomorrow,

Adam
