What no one tells you about running a profitable YouTube channel

Here's what you need to know

When you think about your current YouTube channel, what word comes to mind?

For some, it's stagnancy.

For others, it's hesitation.

And hopefully, for you, one day, that word is success.

However, what many people don't realize is that attaining the YouTube success that they desire seldom unfolds in the way that they anticipate.

Why is that the case?

I think it's because most of us have taken a traditional route in life.

We've progressed through elementary and high school, off to college and university, and into the working world like the rest of those around us.

For the most part, this is generally a rather linear path—except, I guess, if you were one of those kids that got held back in second grade.

Jokes aside, your YouTube journey will likely not follow the same linear path.

In fact, chances are, your YouTube success will look something like this:

Right now, you may be that biker at the start of the journey, not knowing what to expect.

You could also be the individual stranded in the water, not knowing where to go next.

Why I'm sharing this reality with you today is because it's important to know what lies ahead as you progress through your YouTube journey.

And for you to know that as long as you stick it out and continue to aim to improve day after day, you will end up achieving the success you desire.

Take the example channel, Saving Savers.

For many months, this channel was struggling to generate even a modest amount of views per video.

And then, seemingly overnight, something dramatic changed.

They landed upon a winning topic recipe that catapulted their channel to over a million and a half views per month, which is roughly $15,000 in ad revenue in this particular niche.

What's just as impressive as this high degree of monthly views is how little these videos cost to produce.

These simple stock footage videos can easily be made for roughly $50 to $80 per video, meaning that the majority of this channel's income is going into their pocket as profit.

Now, ask yourself: Do you think this channel really expected to be generating over 1.5 million views per month after struggling to get 2,000 views per video a few weeks beforehand?

Not a chance.

But that's the beauty of YouTube.

As long as you consistently put in effort and strive to get better, you will find your own channel's winning recipe.

And when you do, that's when the money will start pouring in.

Therefore, right now, if you're in one of the valleys of your YouTube success story, just keep going.

Your future self will thank you.

Until tomorrow,

Adam
