What no one tells you about making money on YouTube
Here's what you need to know...
Everyone wants to make money on YouTube
Sadly, most people have no idea how it truly works
And by the end of this email you’ll know exactly how to think about monetizing your own channel
So that you can make as much money as possible online
And start living the life you truly deserve
Now, in the YouTube space there is this general rule of advice that states that you must select a high CPM niche if you want to make money on YouTube
These are niches where you’re making $5+ per 1,000 views your channel generates
Why are these niches so highly touted?
Because they are niches where all you have to do is upload videos and can collect a modest some of income
On the flipside, people advise that you avoid "low CPM niches”
Those that pay you $5 or less per 1,000 views for example…
While in isolation this logic makes sense what most people fail to understand is demand
Very often, those niches with lower ad rates actually have higher demand
Which materially impacts how much money those channels can earn
For example, let’s say that you run a celebrity channel that makes $3 per 1,000 views
Given there is a broad market audience for this type of content, while you may only make $3 per 1,000 views
Each one of your videos generates 50,000 views
Allowing you to accumulate 500,000 views a month and make $1,500
On the other hand, let’s say you take the advice to pursue high CPM niches
For example crypto ($10 per 1,000 views)
You start making content on crypto nodes (a subniche in the crypto space)
While you’re making $10 per 1,000 views you’re only generating 5,000 views per video
Or roughly 50,000 views per month
That’s a grand total of $500 per month
Therefore, while some high CPM niches do pay a lot per 1,000 views
The demand for that content may not allow you to fully capitalize on that lucrative ad rate
Fortunately, all of these points become moot when you learn how to monetize outside of advertising revenue
Whether you’re making $500 in ads per month or $1,500, it’s the $5,000+ you’re making through other avenues that will actually move your financial needle
Sadly, most people aren’t applying those other streams of income and are leaving $1,000 on the table every single month
That’s why tomorrow (August 17th at 2pm EST) I’m hosting the $5,000 Per Month YouTube Roadmap Workshop
