The NEWEST Scam YouTubers Are Falling For

Do Not Fall For This...

Do you know the most important aspect of a YouTube video?

It’s the video idea

A video with a good idea can have terrible editing

A mediocre voiceover

And still get 1,000s of views

To support a good idea you need a good script

In my opinion, the quality of your script is the second greatest lever you can pull when making a high quality video

It’s the stories that you share

The interesting facts that you uncover

The in-depth analysis that you blow your audience away with

Needless to say your scripts are important

But making high-quality scripts takes time

If you’ve written one before (or 100s in my case) then you’ll know this to be true

It’s for this reason that many people will outsource the scripts for their videos

And there’s nothing wrong with this

Except when you fall for this scam…

A few months ago, the online content landscape changed forever

Tools like ChatGPT, Jasper and Writesonic made the creation of written content instantaneous

You could produce a 1,000 word blog post or text in just a matter of seconds

Do you smell the scent of opportunity in the air?

All of a sudden the amount of online “writers” started to increase

What started to decrease was the certainty that you were getting what you paid for…

What do I mean by this?

Once these online AI writers were introduced into the marketplace

Many freelancers began relying on them to generate scripts for their clients

They were charging the same price for output that now took them a tenth of the time to create

Now, I’m not against the advancement of technology or using it to work more efficiently

But I have two issues with this situation:

  1. Freelancers were claiming their content was human-made when it wasn’t

  2. Most AI writers aren’t advanced enough to generate high quality scripts

Effectively, YouTubers were paying $30, $50, $100+ for scripts they could generate in seconds on their own using these same tools

While being under the guise that they were getting a script from a human writer

If you’re reading this and thinking “oh shit I may have fallen for this” or “how do I know if I may fall for this in the future?”

Don’t worry I’ve got your back…

I’ll break this down into two parts:

  1. You’ve hired writers in the ChatGPT era and want to validate their work

  2. You’re going to hire a writer now or in the future

1. Validating past work

Open up a script you’ve outsourced and copy the text

Paste the text into the dialogue box and hit “Detect Text”

Review the AI GPT score

In an ideal situation the score will look as follows:

This means your script was more likely human written (this is what you want)

However, if your script generates a result as seen below then you may have a AI-reliant writer on your hands:

2. Validating future freelancers

Sign up on Fiverr or Upwork and submit a scriptwriter job posting

Review applications like I teach you how to do in Tube Freedom

Receive demo work and enter sample into ZeroGPT

Review AI GPT score

Now, the question you may have is “how do I know what score constitutes a script written by AI?

From the sites documentation it’s not clear if there is a specific score that indicates one or the other

Here’s how I approach it

If ZeroGPT says “Your text is AI/GPT generated” I assume its from an AI writer

If ZeroGPT says “Your Text is Human Written” I assume it’s void of AI input

Now, you may not care if your writer is using these tools to write your scripts

And that’s totally okay

My goal with shedding light on this situation is to ensure you’re getting what you paid for (i.e. a human written script)

If you’re paying for human written and getting AI output instead

You may as well save your money and generate the scripts yourself…

Until next week,
