How To Make SERIOUS Cash With Your YouTube Channel

There’s something that you probably don’t know about me

Nor should you…

But I’ve been building businesses online for a decently long-time (5+ years)

I’ve built businesses in the freelance space

Built multiple YouTube channels

And now have a growing personal brand on Twitter (X)

Over the course of these 5+ years I’ve learned a ton of lessons

And have been impressed by a lot of people

But nothing has taught me more about making money than small accounts on Twitter (X)

Every once in a while I connect with small accounts (under 5,000 followers) making $10,000+ per month

And I think to myself, “how the hell are they doing that?”

What I came to learn when talking with these accounts is that they have two factors working in their favor (don’t worry this relates to YouTube so just be patient)

The first factor was narrow audience interest

They would be talking about a particular topic like tax strategy for small businesses

Or SEO optimization for e-commerce shops

Their page topic didn’t attract millions of followers

But it attracted those with high interest and intent

The second factor was effective monetization

These accounts wouldn’t pitch their audience a $15 ebook

Instead, they would charge their clients $3,000+ for their services

Only needing a minute fraction of their audience to convert to make $10,000/mo

The lesson?

Audience monetization is more important than audience size

On YouTube, this principle is also true…

Let’s look at an example channel

The Swedish Investor is a stock investing channel (previously ran faceless)

Similar to those example Twitter accounts, it’s only talking about one topic (stock investments)

This has allowed it to amass a ton of subscribers all with one intention: Learn about the best stocks to invest in

Now, most channels would stop here and enjoy the bit of ad revenue that would come from their efforts

But not the Swedish Investor…

Because remember, to make the big bucks you just need proper monetization in place…

Swedish Investor now runs their channel as a funnel

Their public videos talk about the core topic (stock investments) at a high level and raise intrigue in the types of returns stocks can provide

This funnel then leads to an offer for more exclusive content sitting behind a Patreon paywall

How well is this funnel working?

1,500 members at $16 a month - you do the math…

This is why I always tell my students to start your channel with your monetization approach in mind

If this channel only earned through ads, it would be making just 25% of what it’s earning now…

That’s the power of building a like-minded audience who you can offer more value to via products, services, exclusives etc.
