How Long Does It ACTUALLY Take To Make Money On YouTube?

Do you know what makes me truly happy?

Gelato…

But besides gelato, the other thing that makes me happy is helping people realize the opportunity that exists in making money online

Why?

Because making money online has truly changed my life

I remember when I made my first dollar online

I felt like I had transported into an alternate universe…

It meant more to me than the $100,000s I had made up until that that point working as a CPA

Why?

Because I had control over my income

I could put in extra work building a digital asset and have it supplement what I made while working my 9-5 job

Once people realize that the internet is not just a place to watch videos and look at memes this is when the questions start flying…

This one in particular is commmon:

“How long does it take to start making money on YouTube?”

You aren’t going to like this answer but…

It depends

For instance, it took my student just 3 videos to reach the YouTube watch time requirements

Unlocking the harder of the two requirements needed to start earning ad revenue from their channel

However, not everyone achieves this money making milestone this quick…

On average, it takes a channel owner 152 videos to get monetized

When you break it down, that’s about a year’s worth of uploading if you can keep a 3 video per week schedule

One year to create a new income stream? Not bad if you ask me

Why am I sharing this with you?

Because it’s the expectations you lay around your progress that will dictate your success…

Think you’ll get monetized in a week and it takes a month - you’ll be upset

Think it will take you 2 years and it takes 1 - you’ll be happy

Therefore, before you start your YouTube journey, make sure you fully understand the time it can take

And when you do, sticking with it through the ups and downs will be 10x easier
