For me, I wasn’t married a year ago

Fast forward to today and I’ve now been married for almost 5 months!

Time flies when you’re in love, am I right?

While making the move into marriage is a major life change

I’d argue that there is a more profound life change that took place over the last year

One that dramatically changed the course of one’s life for the better

You see, just a year ago, my student Diego signed up to work with me

He’s similar to most people:

• Has a normal 9-5 job

• Has a partner

• Always striving to get ahead financially

And boy did his life change drastically last year

He went from having zero YouTube experience

To scaling up his channel to $20,000 a month

Now the burning question is “how did he do it?”

Without giving away all of his secrets, let me share a few things that led to his success

First, he tapped into a high-interest niche

This way there was a large market of viewers to serve

Allowing for his videos to generate 10,000 or even 100,000s of views

Second, he stayed consistent

Most people upload a dozen videos, don’t see instant results and quit

Diego just kept uploading through the ups and the downs

Leading to his first 5-figure months

But most importantly, Diego got creative

He didn’t just rely on ad revenue to make money

He coordinated brand deals that would pay him handsomely

This is what we call being “income efficient”

Because you don’t want to be spending your time and money making videos to only get pennies back

This is why I consult all my students on how they will monetize their channels before they even start

Because views are cool but money in your bank is well…cooler

While it’s corny to say, it’s time to lock in

The first month of the year is already gone and sadly most people have either given up their new year’s resolutions or never took action at all

Let this be your reminder that there’s still tons of time left in the year

But that time passes quick and the sooner you start the sooner you’ll be rewarded for your efforts
