I probably shouldn't be sharing this...

Here it is

There are a lot of things in life that you probably shouldn’t share

Like sharing a toothbrush

Or sharing how you didn’t learn how to ride a bike until 12th grade…

However, sometimes it’s fun to share the unshareable

Which is what I am going to do with you today

You see, getting initial traction on YouTube can be tough

This is why many channels never break past 100 views on their videos

And why most channels without a gameplan never get monetized

So I figured that I would share one easy strategy for getting that initial influx of views

You see, in 2025 I took it upon myself to start growing on LinkedIn

As such, I’m consuming as much information on the topic as I can

And a popular subset of videos that keep coming up look like the following:

What do you notice about these 2 videos?

That’s right, they aren’t actually videos by Alex Hormozi

What the channel owner is doing is borrowing Alex’s authority for their video

Making people more inclined to click on his video

Getting him the initial traction his channel needs to take off

As you can see, both videos are massive outliers

Now, what if you’re not making business videos

Can this strategy still work for you?

Absolutely!

Here are some niches and examples:

  • Health: Bryan Johnson’s Secret Strategy For Living To 100

  • Soccer: Ranking Cristiano Ronaldo’s Top 10 World Cup Goals

  • Finance: Dave Ramsey’s Best Debt Advice Exposed

The reality is that no one cares about you as a channel owner when starting out

But they do care about these public figures

So ride their coat tails until you have enough authority to stand up on your own

Give this a try and let me know how it goes!

Until tomorrow,

Adam
