I just hit a personal record on YouTube

This needs to be celebrated

Happy Valentine's Day

I have to tell you something personal today

Something I've never really shared before

Last month, I hit a personal record on my YouTube channels

I'm not going to drop the exact number because that's not really the point

But it was big

Bigger than I ever imagined when I started this journey back in 2016

And here's the thing...

I made a promise to my wife

I told her that if I hit this number, I would take her out for the most extravagant dinner of our lives

We're talking the kind of restaurant where the menu doesn't have prices

The kind of place where you need reservations months in advance

The kind of dinner that would have put me in debt just a few years ago

Tonight, we're going…

And I can't stop thinking about how crazy this is

Because I remember where I started

I remember being that guy in the cubicle

Working 60 hours a week as a CPA

Making $42,500 a year

Stressing about every purchase

Checking my bank account before buying groceries

Wondering if I'd ever be able to afford a nice vacation, let alone a fancy dinner

I remember the first time I took my wife out after I started making real money on YouTube

It was nothing crazy

Just a nice restaurant downtown

But I remember sitting there thinking...

"I paid for this with money I made while I was sleeping"

That feeling never gets old

And tonight, as I'm sitting across from her at this ridiculous restaurant...

I'm going to think about that guy in the cubicle

The one who was scared to start

The one who didn't know if this would work

The one who almost gave up a hundred times

And I'm going to be so grateful that he didn't

Happy Valentine's Day

Go do something nice for someone you love today

And start building a life where you can do that whenever you want

Adam

P.S. The best gift I ever gave my wife wasn't something I bought... It was the freedom to spend time with her whenever I want. YouTube gave me that…
