The honest reason you're not where you want to be in life

Don't worry, I've struggled with this too

“He who chases two rabbits catches neither”

“Shiny object syndrome”

These are the sayings and afflications that are holding you back from everything you’ve ever wanted in life

How do I know?

Because I’ve been plagued by them too…

You see, before making $100,000s in YouTube ad revenue

I was like most people, scattering my attention in a multitude of directions

For example, when I first started my “make money online” journey, I tried:

  • Blogging,

  • Amazon FBA

  • Dropshipping

All at the same time!!!

And guess what?

I failed at all of them (Shocker, right?)

Then, I wisened up and made myself the following promise

“I am picking YouTube and will not quit until I become successful”

And the rest is history

Why?

Because I focused my attention on one skill

And it’s yielded me more income and opportunities than pursuing 10 different business models at one time ever could

One of my favorite follows on X/Twitter is JK Molina who posted this picture a few years back depicting the exact problem most people face

They split their attention, energy and money across numerous things and never see appreciable results

Ignoring the fact that if they put everything into one venture, they would go farther, faster and actually change their life with their results

There’s a reason that Lebron James only plays basketball

If he tried to be a soccer, hockey and baseball superstar all at the same time he wouldn’t have been as successful in basketball as he has been

And the same goes for YouTube

I get asked constantly if it’s wise to start multiple YouTube channels at once

And my answer is always “No”

And here’s why

Let’s say you are a beginner and have yet to master the art of ideation, production etc.

If you start two channels are once, not only are you going to minimize how many videos you can afford to produce per channel (given everyone is on some sort of budget)

Effectively slowing down the growth process

But you’re going to duplicate your beginner errors across multiple channels

Making these mistakes twice as costly…

The better approach is to get one channel up to your goal income (e.g. $5k/mo, $10k/mo) then do the following…

First, outsource is as much as possible so you can maximize your time freedom

Then, and only then should you start a second channel which allows you to leverage the successful gameplan you’ve deployed on the first channel

Therefore, the reason you’re not where you want to be is simply due to a lack of focus of your resources

And the sooner you focus them in one sole direction

The sooner you’ll start to reap the benefits from it

Until tomorrow,

Adam
