The HARSH Truth About YouTube People Don't Want To Hear

Ask anyone thinking about starting YouTube what their goal is and they will give you answers like:

“I want to make $5,000/mo”

“I want to make $10,000/mo and gain my financial freedom”

“I want to make 7,500/mo so I can quit my job”

While all responses are commendable often the actions to support these outcomes are not

Stay with me on this one because it’s important…

As I mentioned, many people considering YouTube want to turn it into a part-time or full-time income

And as someone who’s done it on multiple channels I can tell you it’s doable

But where people go wrong is wanting the end result without going through the necessary steps

As I explained to my Tube Academy students recently, a major obstacle for most beginners is selecting their niche

A lot of people end up in what I call “Niche Pergatory” where they deliberate over which niche to select and never take action, never upload and never go anywhere with YouTube…

To me, YouTube success is like career success - there are steps neccesary to reach your end goal

For instance, similar to YouTube, there are three key steps to making a large income in your career. They are the following:

As you can see, it’s only when you get the role and start to get good at it do you end up making the big bucks

Well, it’s the same on YouTube…

Selecting your niche is just step 1

After that comes the development, the growth and the YouTube paychecks

Sadly, as I said, most people get stuck in step 1 - never even uploading a video…

Giving up any chance they would have at turning YouTube into a legitimate, life-changing stream of income

This is why inside Tube Academy I not only provided training on this matter a few weeks ago

But why I created the Niche Lab and Niche Roadmaps to guide my students in their niche selection process

So they can get onto steps 2 and 3 and start using YouTube to positively change their lives

Therefore, the harsh truth is that right now you may be your own worst enemy when it comes to achieving success on YouTube

If you can’t find the perfect niche just pick one that interests you

At least you’ll be able to start honing your video creation skills

Because ultimately those skills are going to be required no matter which niche you decide to pursue…
