How To GUARANTEE No One Watches Your YouTube Videos
Do this if you want poor video performance...

Every video you release is forged in your blood, sweat and tears
Okay - maybe that’s a little too dramatic
But there’s no refuting the fact that each video you release will require:
Time
Money
Both
As such, you want to ensure your videos are gaining the traction they need to get you to your YouTube goals
Whether that’s getting more views, gaining more subscribers or making more money
Which I’d assume are all part of the results you are currently seeking
Well, one way to ensure you don’t enjoy all of these wonderful benefits is to employ the following video gameplan
Let me introduce you to the “series” trap
This is where a channel owner will drum up the bright idea to create a series on their channel
Thinking that it will result in bingeful watching and a ton more views
While this approach can work in unique situations
Often, it’s a one-way ticket to low performing videos
Let me give you an example from a channel with over 4M subscribers
Recently, they released the video:

As you can see, the first video in the series racked up 70,000 views
Not bad, not bad at all…
Then, the next video was released

Only 24k views a week after being released
Finally, the third video was released

12k views in the first 21 hours
As we see, each subsequent video in the series generates less and less views
But why?
Because each video is recommended in isolation
What do I mean by this?
When YouTube recommends video 3, “Purpose of Wealth (pt3): Comfort”
It is not recommended alongside the other two parts
It’s recommended on its own
And logically who would watch part 3 of a series without having watched part 1 and 2
It’s like jumping into the Lord of the Rings series in the last book
So, are series just a no-go on YouTube?
Yes and no
Undertaken in this way - yes!
But you can approach things a bit differently to achieve a similar “series” result
As I teach my students in Tube Academy, you can use a strategy called “linking”
This is where you direct the viewer of one video to another
To create this series-like flow that will allow for a viewer to watch in your desired sequential order
Without having to package your videos as being part of a series
Which you can see is not quite the most effective ways to generate views
I hope this tip serves you well
Until tomorrow,
Adam
