What A Fancy Motor Home Taught Me About Getting RICH On YouTube

This is pretty crazy...

The other day I am innocently scrolling through YouTube when “BAM”

I see what looks like a motor home from the year 2356

Here’s exactly what I saw:

Pretty insane, right?

Now, I’m not someone who is easily swayed to click on a video like this

But in this case, I had to see what the hype was all about

Let me tell you, this motor home was incredibly impressive

But then something even more impressive stood out to me…

This video had generated over 4 million views in just 2 months

In the tech niche, that’s $10,000s made from a single video!

But what takes the cake for me is this…

This video is not even that well put together (no offense)

It’s basically just some mediocre edits of third party footage of the vehicle with an informational voiceover

This is literally a video you could outsource on Upwork for around $100

Whenever I come across low-cost videos that have generated outsized incomes I always stop and ask myself “how”

I do this because understanding how this phenomenon takes place is the key to running a profitable YouTube channel

What I came up with is that this video is primarily driven by the highly-intriguing thumbnail (just look at that motor home!)

It’s so intriguing that even I clicked on the damn video!

And that’s been one of the most prominent lessons I’ve come to learn in my own YouTube journey

A video’s packaging can literally make or break a video’s success

Take my students channel for example

His videos use engaging scripts, solid editing and yet his videos were generating minimal views

Then, after I conducted his personalized channel review (included in Tube Academy) he was able to improve his packaging and generated his highest performing video yet

The takeaway?

How you package your videos is just as important (if not more important) than what’s inside

So before releasing your next video, take the time to really think how you can craft the perfect thumbnail and title for your video (make a few iterations of each)

Because it can be the difference between 100 views and 100,000+ views

Until tomorrow,

Adam

Note: I now have 1 spot left inside Tube Academy. If you want to grow and monetize on YouTube reply back “tube” and I’ll send you the details.
