The Most EFFECTIVE Way To Use AI On Your YouTube Channel
If you’ve been on YouTube lately (which I’m sure you have)
I would imagine that you’ve been recommended at least a few videos like this:
AI videos are taking over YouTube right now and this should have you wondering…
“How do I use AI to help me grow and monetize my YouTube channel?”
The good news is that I’m about to save you the mental exercise
Today, I’m going to share with you one MAJOR AI mistake to avoid on your channel
I’m also going to share how you can use AI to increase your video’s watch time which will help your videos get recommended more on the platform
Excited?
You should be!
So first off, let’s talk about how NOT to integrate AI into your YouTube content
If you’ve been researching AI tools that are applicable to YouTube you’ve probably seen something like this:
These videos are getting popular for two reasons:
Most people don’t love the sound of their voice and don’t want to use their own voice on their YouTube channels
Voiceovers can be an expensive part of the creation of a faceless video (optimal price points shared in Tube Automate and Tube Freedom)
As such, it makes total sense that would would want to find ways to generate high-quality voiceovers without the cost and relinquishing of privacy…
So, let’s just use text to speech software and call it a day, right?
WRONG…
Using AI voices directly goes against YouTube’s policy on spam or “repetitive” content
You see if everyone is using the same voices across the platform there’s an issue
And if you pursue this route you could end up building up your channel
Only to get rejected when you apply for the YouTube Partner Program
TLDR: Don’t use AI voiceovers
Note: If this changes I will update you in a future newsletter!
Now how do you use AI effectively?
Right now, it’s best application for viewer retention comes in script writing
You could be using the worst visuals but a good script can carry a video single-handed
So here’s how you use AI to maximize your video’s performance
Sign up for an AI writers or software (ChatGPT, ChatSonic etc.)
Ask software to write your script
Tweak hook, introduction and conclusion
Add in prompts for engagement (likes and subscribes)
Proofread and produce
Here’s a quick walkthrough…
You find a video using using one of the three video generation methods I share in Tube Freedom
Next, you take that video idea and enter it into ChatGPT
Here’s the intro that ChatGPT gave me:
Boring to say the least…
So what I would do here is spicy it up to say:
“Do you feel like it’s nearly impossible to save money these days, especially since your boss isn’t paying you nearly as much as they should be? In this video I’ll how you can save tons more money every month even if your feeling the pinch in your wallet right now”
Boom…done!
Now, here’s the conclusion we got from ChatGPT:
It’s not bad but it doesn’t make someone want to watch another one of our videos (i.e. no extra watch time)
So instead I would tweak it to say, “By following these tips, you can save money and achieve your financial goals especially if you use the 5 money strategies of the rich I share in this next video” (use end screen to link to next video).
Finally, add in your “like the video” and “subscribe to the channel” in the body of your script and you’re done!
One final note: If you feel like the scripts generating by these AI tools are bland or too formal, just ask them to write your script using a friendly or casual tone!
With this script writing strategy, you’ve likely saved yourself hours of time or probably 1/3 of the cost of each video you produce
If that’s not a win then I don’t know what is!
Until next week,
Adam
