The easiest way to break out on YouTube

Do this before the end of 2024

In life, there are really only two things that are guaranteed: death and taxes.

However, there are some other aspects of life that are pretty close to being guaranteed when you follow a proven path.

For instance, if you know that you want to make over six figures per year, becoming a lawyer or doctor is a reliable way of going about it.

Or, if you want to be in above-average shape, eating a clean diet and exercising regularly will allow you to do just that.

On YouTube, there are also proven paths to success.

For example, you're more likely to see faster growth if you start a channel in an unsaturated niche.

You're also more likely to get quicker results if you educate yourself on the principles of YouTube before getting started.

Another way that you can start to get more traction on the platform is by using the following approach.

You see, every single day, I'm studying the platform to see what type of content is performing best.

Because the way to win on YouTube is to maximize your outputs (views, subcribers and income) while minimizing your inputs.

This involves knowing which ideas to make, how to produce your videos, and how to package them to be as appealing as possible.

Today, I'm going to share with you one of these proven approaches that I've seen work time and again, which you can use on your own channel.

The approach that you can use to generate more attention towards your channel is what I call the Deep Dive Approach.

This approach involves creating a cornerstone piece of content that is ultra-long form, which will attract a significant amount of watch time towards your channel and prompt YouTube to promote your content more across the platform.

An example of this is from the channel Ryan Maya.

As you can see, most of his videos are generating a few hundred to a few thousand views each.

Then, there is one video on his channel that has outperformed all of them by leaps and bounds. It's what I call a cornerstone Video.

Ryan created an in-depth, 7-hour "How to Start Shopify Drop Shipping" free course that has attracted over 1 million views to his channel.

Why does this approach work?

Firstly, it allows you to generate a significant amount of watch time on your channel because of the length of the video.

Second of all, it adds new supply to the market because most people aren't willing to put in the time to make such a comprehensive video.

Therefore, amidst all the 10 to 20-minute videos in the market, if you have a three or four-hour-long video, naturally, your content will stand out more and will also likely deliver more value to your viewers.

Now, I know what you're thinking:

"Damn, that's going to take a lot of work to put together that length of a video."

And guess what? You're right.

But it's better to invest a couple of weeks into making a cornerstone piece of content than to spend the next 6 months producing videos that struggle to get any views.

If you're wondering if you can make cornerstones in your own particular niche, the answer is likely yes.

If you're making educational content, then you can make tutorials like the video example that you see here.

If you're making entertainment-style content, such as those you'd see on a compilation channel, you can make a master compilation that's an hour or longer.

The same principles will apply, as the length and depth of your videos will allow your content to stand out, acting as a cornerstone piece of your overall video catalog.

Therefore, if you're truly trying to take your channel to the next level before the end of 2024, try your hand at making one of these types of videos.

At worst, it will definitely increase your video production skills.

At best, it could be the video that allows you to build a bona fide income stream on your channel before the new year rolls around.

Until tomorrow,

Adam
