Can You Believe This?

This is insane

The other day, one of my kitchen cabinets broke

Nothing crazy

Not some dramatic home renovation disaster

Just one of those annoying little problems that makes you stop and think

“Great, now I need to figure out how to fix this”

And normally, this would turn into a whole process

I’d stare at the cabinet

Open and close it a few times like that’s somehow going to solve the problem

Google a bunch of random phrases

Watch three YouTube videos from a guy filming in 480p

Try to figure out which screw, hinge, bracket, or part is actually broken

Then maybe go to Home Depot and hope I’m buying the right thing

Basically, a 10-minute problem turns into a 2-hour rabbit hole

But this time was different

I took a picture of the cabinet

Uploaded it into ChatGPT

And within seconds, it showed me what was wrong and how to fix it

Not “here’s a vague explanation”

Not “maybe it could be one of these 12 things”

It looked at the image

Identified the issue

Explained what likely happened

Told me what tools I needed

And gave me the steps to fix it

That was the moment where I kind of sat back and thought

“Okay, this is getting ridiculous”

Because we’re now at the point where AI can look at a broken cabinet and basically become the handy friend you wish you had on speed dial

And this is exactly what’s happening with YouTube too

A few years ago, making faceless YouTube videos was slow, expensive, and kind of painful

Especially the scriptwriting part

You either had to write scripts yourself

Which could take hours

Or you had to hire a scriptwriter

Which could cost a lot of money

And even then, the script might come back generic, boring, or completely misaligned with the video idea

Then you’d have to revise it

Give feedback

Wait another day

Hope it came back better

And repeat the process again

That’s why so many people never stayed consistent

The production process was just too heavy

But now AI has changed the game

The same way I can upload a picture of a broken cabinet and get a step-by-step fix, you can now give AI a video idea and get a strong first draft of a script in minutes

And not just any script

A script that can be structured around the viewer’s pain points

Their desires

Their fears

Their objections

Their curiosity

That’s the part people miss

AI is not just making scripts cheaper

It’s making better scripts possible for people who know how to use it properly

Because a great YouTube script is not just information

It’s not just facts

It’s not just “here are 10 things about this topic”

A great script makes the viewer feel understood

It makes them think

“This is exactly what I’m dealing with”

It opens loops

Builds tension

Keeps the viewer watching

And pays off the promise from the title and thumbnail

Before AI, getting this right was expensive

You needed a good scriptwriter

You needed time

You needed revisions

You needed someone who understood YouTube retention

Now, with the right AI tools, the barrier is way lower

You can ask AI to research the topic

Find the viewer’s biggest pain points

Create a hook

Build the intro

Structure the body

Add curiosity loops

Rewrite boring sections

Make the tone more emotional

And even improve the ending so it leads into another video

That used to be a full production bottleneck

Now it can be done in a fraction of the time

But here’s the key

You can’t just say

“Write me a YouTube script”

That’s how you get generic AI slop

You need to guide it

Just like with my cabinet

If I uploaded a blurry picture and said “fix this,” the answer might not be great

But because the AI could see the problem clearly, it could give me a better solution

Same thing with scripts

The better the input, the better the output

Tell AI who the viewer is

Tell it what they want

Tell it what they’re afraid of

Tell it the promise of the video

Tell it the structure

Tell it the tone

Tell it where you want more tension

Tell it where you want more emotion

That’s when the script becomes powerful

For example, don’t say

“Write a script about saving money”

Say

“Write a YouTube script for 55+ viewers who feel behind on retirement, are worried about inflation, and want simple ways to protect their savings without taking huge risks”

That is a totally different output

And it’s way more likely to connect with the viewer

It’s for this reason that this weekend (June 6th at 2pm EST) I am hosting the Scriptwriting Mastery 2026 Workshop

Because too many people are underusing AI to write compelling scripts

Leaving $1,000s of that sweet YouTube cash on the table
