What a broken dryer taught me about YouTube
This is a strange but true lesson...
You know the saying “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone?”
Well, let me tell you this is certainly the case when you want to dry your clothes
And your dryer just broke (don’t worry this will loop back around to YouTube)
You see, my fiancée was trying to do laundry a while ago
And realized that no matter how long the dryer was on it wouldn’t dry (uh oh)
When I confirmed the dryer was broken my heart sank (I hate spending money on appliances)
But, what made matters worse was that part of the issue was that my dryer vent was blocked (impairing the dryer’s strength)
So, I had two options:
Option 1: Buy a machine and clean out the vent myself
Option 2: Hire a professional
Me, being a CPA, likes to save money when I can
But me, ½ of this relationship, knew that my fiancée would not be thrilled if I did the work myself (as dryer congestion can causes fires - safety first!)
So what did I do, I deferred to the professionals (most unenjoyable way to spend $500 without a doubt)
However, after the fact I reflected and quite frankly it was the better move to hire the professional
It was less hassle for me and things got done right
If I did it, it would have taken all day and I didn’t even own all the tools to do it in the first place
This is all to say it would have been a shitshow…
And truthfully, this same phenomenon is what a lot of YouTube channels experience
They have to produce videos but they either:
A) Don’t have the right tools
B) Don’t have the required skill
So they do a mediocre job at making videos that don’t perform
Then they get frustrated and they quit
And forfeit the ability to make $1,000s a month online
A common trend I see with my Tube Academy students is that those that outsource sooner, see results sooner as well
Why?
Because they minimize the time spent making low-performing videos
And instantly allow their videos to complete on YouTube
However, outsourcing is a skill
And skills need to be cultivated
But when it is, it leads to more time freedom while still allowing you to run your channel in a very profitable manner
Given that most channel owners struggle in this area I want to provide clarity on how you can setup a sustainable outsourcing process
On Saturday (August 3rd at 2pm EST), I’m hosting a workshop for my Tube Academy students where I’ll be walking through outsourcing from A-Z
You can get a guest pass to attend for only $100 and can join Tube Academy students in mastering the art of outsourcing
