Are you sure you want to make $10,000 a month on YouTube?

I am obsessed with sleep

Not in the sense that I sleep 12 hours a day

But in the sense that I try and get the best sleep nightly

So that I can be as productive in the day as I can

And let’s face it, we don’t quite have the same energy as we used to

So sleeping properly is a must.

Because of this sleep obession, I became intrigued with the idea of tracking my sleep.

I began searching for fitbits, oura rings etc.

And then my wife chimed in with a great idea

“Adam, why don’t you try my fitbit for a week?”

Cool!

I tried it and guess what? I hated it

Micromanaging my sleep scores was a nightmare…

I actually slept worse than I had been before (ironic isn’t it)

This is all to say that sometimes we think we want something

But in fact, that’s not entirely accurate…

For instance, how do you know you want to own a $10,000/mo YouTube channel?

Let me shed some light on what this looks like

When running this caliber of channel it will require weekly ideation and packaging

So expect to have to invest 2-4 hours a week on this

You’ll also be responsible for ensuring your videos get published on time

So there is some work to be done here

But you’re also in for saving exponentially more every month

Not stressing about why Romain lettuce is so damn expensive this week

And being able to book a vacation to address your pale winter skin…

This is all to say that sometimes you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into - like me and the fitbit

The same is true for YouTube

If you enjoy creating content and want more income and freedom then it’s for you

If you are someone who can’t be bothered to put in any work

Then likely nothing but Netflix is for you (sorry, not sorry!)

If you’re part of the former group - let’s keep pushing towards that 5-figure goal!
