99% of People Get THIS Wrong About YouTube
Here's where most people go wrong on YouTube...
Picture this…
You’re six months into your YouTube journey
You’ve experienced the lows of the lows
Getting less than 10 views on multiple videos
And you’ve experienced the highs
Like getting your first video over 100,000 views
And now, you’ve achieved a major YouTube milestone
Reaching 500,000 monthly views
At this level, the money should be pouring in, right?
Well, that depends…
You see, in the world of social media
Not everything is it appears to be
For instance, not everyone you see on Instagram driving around in Lamborghinis is actually rich
And not everyone wearing $10,000 watches could actually afford them
On YouTube, there’s a similar form of dis-illusion that takes place
And this one relates to views…
One of the biggest mistakes people make on YouTube is equating views to income
The truth is that not all views carry the same weight
What do I mean by this?
Let me explain…
First, the value of a view depends on its ad monetization potential
You probably know this as CPM or (RPM)
Which is how much money you make per 1,000 views your channel
For instance, a finance video may make $10 per 1,000 views
While a fitness channel may only may $5 with the same amount of views…
This is a fundamental piece of understanding for any creator
But it only really scratches the surface…
Because a view’s value goes so much deeper
A view is also a representation of the audience you are building
And the value that you offer and can offer in the future
Confused?
Let me explain…
Let’s take two channels generating nearly the same amount of views (600,000/mo)
Channel #1: Strong Fight
Channel #2: Dividendology
When it comes to their respective views, the intentions are different
Strong Fight’s content has the sole goal of entertaining its viewers
Whereas with Dividendology, the goal is to educate and entertain
And build a community of those who want to achieve financial success
The result?
Dividendology is able to leverage that desire for growth and turn it into a thriving income stream
With over 5,000 patrons with tiers starting at $4.50 a month
Those views have been able to translate not only into an appreciable additional income stream
But one that can be fostered whether the channel continues or not
Therefore, before selecting a niche, the value of your views must be considered
Choose the wrong niche and you will be at ad revenue’s mercy forever
Pick the right niche and a full-time income can be made with less views than you think
