2025 has been "interesting" so far

After 2024, I think we all hoped that 2025 would be a bit more “normal”

I mean, 2024 truly was one for the books

But, from my perspective at least, 2025 has been just as whacky as the year prior

This isn’t to say that it’s been bad by any means

It’s just been “interesting”

One example of this year being weird so far is how people are making money online

It seems that every time I go on social media, another 18 year old kid has just make another $2 million buying and selling memecoins

While crypto is not my cup of tea, it truly makes you question the world we are living in when someone can invest $5,000 and turn it into millions

Which in the past would have taken an entire lifetime to earn…

But then again, I probably shouldn’t be talking

It was just last month that a student of mine started making over $10,000 a month posting crime case videos…

Maybe being “weird” isn’t such a bad thing

I mean, it was pretty weird for me, a CPA, to abandon the corporate climber path to start uploading videos on YouTube

And it’s pretty “weird” for my student to compile videos on the most aggregious court sentencings and upload them in his spare time

But being weird is just being different

And if you want to have what others don’t

Then you have to do what others won’t

Given that’s the case, let’s have the weirdest year yet…
